Project Description

Keane Engineering was engaged to provide temporary works engineering design, documentation and certification for the erection of the Waurn Ponds Sporting Complex. The project involved the staged installation of the structural steel frame across multiple construction zones, requiring detailed planning to maintain stability throughout the erection process.

Work Completed

Review of structural drawings and consultation with the steel contractor
Assessment of proposed erection methodology and construction staging
Development of erection sequence plans for each construction zone
Design of temporary bracing systems to maintain structural stability during installation
Design of temporary propping systems where required
Coordination of temporary works with the permanent structural design
