Keane Engineering was engaged by the City of Greater Geelong to provide structural engineering advice and documentation for the decommissioning of the catenary lighting structure spanning the intersection of Moorabool Street and Malop Street, Geelong. Following a detailed structural inspection of the existing system and its building connections, Keane Engineering developed the structural requirements and methodology for the safe removal of the suspended lighting infrastructure while ensuring all affected buildings remained structurally sound, durable and weatherproof following decommissioning.
